Truckstop.com Enterprise Account Executive Josh Main has been elected Vice President of Membership for the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals Central Florida Round Table.
Main said he received official word of the election results during a board meeting Friday. He has served as the interim Vice President of Membership since the fall of 2016, when the position was vacated, and he will continue in the position through 2018.
Josh, who works under Sales Vice President Paul Malone, said his activity with CSCMP for the past couple of years—along with service as the VP of Membership for the past six months—assisted in his winning the election.
In his role as Vice President of Membership, Josh is responsible for driving new members to CSCMP, as well as bringing in outside professional members via networking events throughout the year.
“It goes hand-in-hand with my role at Truckstop.com,” Main said. “I work with logistics players in the market and in a lot of these facilities. It’s like the perfect marriage.”
Main said his last six months have just been the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the work he expects to do. He said last year CSCMP gave away six scholarships at its golf tournament and is helping another 10 students this year.
Main especially enjoys working with students and helping young professionals become members of the round table.
“I’m extremely pumped,” he said. “Truckstop.com has been doing so much with CSCMP. It’s a great cause, these are great organizations, and great things are happening because of it. I am very proud to stand behind CSCMP.”
Main will join Central Florida Round Table board members Kathy Fulton, President; John Haggerty, Vice President of Programs; John Gierlach, Secretary, David Perez, Treasurer; and Jim Stock, Education Chair.
