How factoring works.

Once you’ve booked and moved your freight, factoring allows you to get paid on the invoice right away. In exchange for a low, flat fee, you receive payment on the invoice within 24 hours (once your invoice has been verified). No need to wait up to 30 days to get paid.

Recourse vs. Non-Recourse Factoring.

Truckstop user checking out Factoring on a phone.

The major difference between recourse and non-recourse factoring, besides the cost, is what happens if brokers or shippers don’t pay your invoices promptly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Essentially, they’re the same. Both offer the benefit of getting paid faster. The benefit of Factoring over Quick Pay is that you will be able to factor every load at a flat rate, no matter the amount (as long as the broker is approved). With Quick Pay, you have more flexibility of which loads you would like to factor but will typically pay a different rate, depending on the broker. Plus, not all brokers have a quick pay program available. To get consistent cash flow, factoring is the better choice because you know exactly when you’ll get paid and at what rate.
Truckstop Factoring charges a flat rate, as low as 3.25%, with zero surprise fees or reserve account requirements. We also offer free broker credit checks and a mobile app to help you manage your payments on the go.
You will need to have your company information available, as well as driver’s license(s), your COI, and a few other items for the application process. Here’s a list with everything you’ll need. Give us a call at (888) 267-2518 if you have questions.
No, there is no minimum amount you need to factor.
Non-recourse factoring is a type of factoring that protects you if the broker billed fails to pay the submitted invoice. As long as you are not at fault for the failed payment (e.g. submitted incorrect paperwork), Truckstop Factoring will cover the loss.
