Ellen Voie, president and CEO of Women In Trucking, has been named one of the “30 Most Inspirational Leaders in Business” by Insights Success magazine.
A story on Voie appears on page 22 in the April edition of Insights Success magazine and journals her career in the transportation industry, including founding and growing the Women In Trucking Association.
In the decade since Voie founded the association in 2007, Women In Trucking has grown to include more than 4,500 members and promotes the employment of women in the trucking industry. Her tireless work with her vision of empowering women has earned Voie recognition by the White House as a “Transportation Innovator Champion of Change.” She has also been named a “Pro to Know” by Supply & Demand Chair Executive magazine and is one of the Fleet Owner magazine’s “Dozen Outstanding Women in Trucking” in 2016.
Under Voie’s watch, Women In Trucking provides funding for members pursuing careers in transportation through the Women In Trucking Scholarship Foundation; it is developing a Girl Scout transportation patch to help introduce young women to careers in transportation, and it has established Accelerate! Conference and Expo to promote gender diversity and provide best practices.
