The RMIS acquisition brings best-in-class carrier onboarding and insurance monitoring to the industry’s largest freight marketplace, Truckstop.com, solidifying our leadership in providing solutions that strengthen broker, shipper, and carrier relationships. This acquisition marries the industry’s two most respected compliance tools, RMIS and SaferWatch®, to introduce Compliance-as-a-Service (CaaS) to the freight world, furthering Truckstop.com’s commitment to supply customers with the tools they need to successfully manage the entire freight lifecycle.

Yes. This acquisition carries forth our commitment to provide our customers with the tools they need to be successful throughout the entire freight lifecycle. Our goal is to provide our 3PL/broker customers with the most trusted carrier selection, hiring, and digital booking experience from beginning to end, shortening time-critical steps to minutes rather than days.

By combining our resources and expertise, we will undoubtedly bring even more value to brokers by simplifying onboarding workflow through automation. Automatic carrier monitoring reduces the risk of missing safety and insurance status updates that can get overlooked with manual monitoring. Built-in onboarding and monitoring tools substantially reduce expenses and eliminate the time-consuming tasks of manually researching carriers, validating insurance, and monitoring ongoing compliance. Currently, RMIS monitors over 98% of all active carriers. This extensive database of existing accurate carrier profiles will dramatically shorten carrier onboarding time.

Brokers and shippers are required to follow detailed onboarding processes when hiring carriers to transport loads, potentially leaving the broker or shipper liable for the carrier and at risk of negligence due to incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate research. Unsafe or uninsured carriers are a liability that can cost the broker thousands, if not millions of dollars in the case of an accident. Proper onboarding and monitoring can prevent the risk of lost business and damaged reputations with shippers and customers following an accident.

The SaferWatch and RMIS tools work together to expand the total compliance portfolio offered by Truckstop.com to form a complete Compliance-as-a-Service (CaaS) solution. To fully address industry compliance issues and dramatically improve broker efficiency, RMIS brings best- in-class onboarding and compliance services to the existing SaferWatch capabilities offered by Truckstop.com.

RMIS is headquartered in Westlake Village, CA, and has approximately 160 employees who will become Truckstop.com employees, effective immediately.

Yes, the RMIS office will remain open. At Truckstop.com, we are committed to the wellbeing of all partners, their loved ones, and our communities. We will ensure that all local COVID guidelines and requirements are met to keep the office open for those that choose to work on site.
