FAQs and Demo
What information is collected about me?
We only gather location information from your device while you are actively hauling a load. If you do not have an active load, we will not gather or send any information.
How much does it cost?
Load Tracking on the Truckstop Mobile app is free to use.
Can I also search for loads or post my truck?
In order to search for a load and/or post your truck you must be signed in with an active Truckstop.com Carrier account. To get a Truckstop.com account, please visit truckstop.com/get-started/ or call 888-364-1189.
How will this affect my battery life?
Minimally. Tracking functionality, on average, should account for less than 2% of your battery performance.
How much data will be used per tracking session?
A negligible amount. Data that is transmitted represents only a few kilobytes, and will not make any noticeable impact on your data plan
How often is my location transmitted?
Location data is transmitted once every hour during an active load and during check calls. No other data is transmitted.
Can I use a mobile device that does not have cellular data?
No. Your smartphone or tablet must have a cellular data plan to be able to send and receive load offers, check calls, documents, and location data.
How can I cancel a load I’ve accepted?
If the load has not become “active,” you can click on the My Loads section and then on Scheduled Loads. From there you will see the option to cancel. However, if the load has become “active,” you must contact the broker or shipper to cancel.
When will a tracking session end?
When you have delivered the load and completed the “Empty” Check Call, the tracking session will end. No other information will be sent beyond this point.
What happens if I change the company I drive for?
You will need to log out of the Truckstop.com Mobile app and log back in with your new Truckstop.com account.
