Leadership changes are afoot at Internet Truckstop Group (ITG). As of the new year, Scott Moscrip has assumed the position of chairman of the company, while Paris Cole has been promoted to ITG’s chief executive officer.
Moscrip, who founded the company in the basement of his home in 1995, has served as president and CEO since its inception. Cole, meanwhile, joined the company in 2013 as its chief financial officer, a role he will continue to fill until a suitable candidate is found to fill that position.
“I am very excited about the advancements in our leadership team,” Moscrip said. “Paris has a passion for business and a passion for people. That makes him the ideal choice as CEO for this company. I know that not only is the future of ITG in good hands, but so are all of our clients and our employees. I know he will excel in his new position and bring this company to new heights.”
Moscrip originally made the announcement during an employee town hall meeting back in December.
“I have been here for more than 20 years and I have never taken a promotion,” Moscrip quipped. “Today, I have finally received that promotion and will become chairman of the company.”
Cole, who holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Idaho State University, came to the company after working for Cochlear Americas. He will now oversee all facets of the company, while Moscrip will oversee the company’s board of directors and will concentrate on product development.
“We’ve witnessed a period of tremendous development over the past two years,” Cole said. “With twenty consecutive years of growth behind us, I believe we’re poised to continue making inroads and innovations in the transportation industry.”
Added Cole: “I enjoy being involved in all aspects of the business and Scott enjoys developing new products. That’s Scott’s passion. I believe these promotions will leverage the strengths of both Scott and myself and will be great for the company and for our customers.”
